Treatment of Static Wrinkles
Static wrinkles are those that are present at all times even when the face is relaxed.
Static Wrinkles are caused by the constant movement and folding of the skin, until it forms a line or a crease. These wrinkles are formed by a loss of tissue in the skin and the fat immediately beneath it.
The treatment for these is therefore to replace that volume, using Filler Injections.
The commonest filler currently in use is based upon a molecule called Hyaluronic Acid (also called Hyaluronan). This is a molecule found naturally in the skin. After injection, it is slowly broken down by the body, lasting up to six months.
